Week # 11 ~ Can you say Seniors!

Week Highlights

The holiday party was a huge success with…12 dog paws pouncing, 11 bullets firing, 10 bazillion guns a blazing, 9 swimmers singing, 8 girls a giggling, 7 boys a scheming, 6 gifts a swapping, 5 golden team moms, 4 team captains, 3 small fish, 2 giant boxes of nerf guns and one poopy shoe!

Thank you to The Mayer, McCallum and Stewart families for providing breakfast and The Robbins for supplying meet snacks.  A huge shout out to all the parents and families who helped support East Swim this week from the fundraiser to the meet to the holiday party ~ Thank you!!

The UHSAA has realigned East to 6A Region 3 with West, Herriman, Copper Hills, Bingham & Riverton. More details can be found at UHSAA

Congratulations to the following who were selected as swimmer of the meet by their coaches:

  • Ashleigh Tanner for dropping time in the 100 back after being injured and only being Abel to kick at practice for the past few weeks.
  • Justin Valiente who swam almost 10 seconds faster in his 100 Free.
  • Carter Rich for completing his first ever 500 and being a team player and filling in last minute for sick swimmers in the relay.
  • Harry Henshaw who brings humor to the team and was also a team player and jumped in last minute for the sick swimmers in the relay.

12/11 HOME Meet at East verses Skyline SENIOR NIGHT!!

  • We will recognize all Seniors during the break along with their parents
  • A cookie reception after the meet in the Steiner Lobby

12/13 ALL Swimmer clinic from 4-5

  • Guest speaker U of U Head Distance Coach Michele Lowry

12/14 & 12/15 Judge Invite

  • Friday Bus students excused at 2 bus leaves at 215
  • Saturday NO bus ALL swimmers to be at Fairmont at TBD

12/18 AWAY Meet verses West

12/22-12-26 No Practice Holiday Moratorium

12/27 Normal Practice Schedule Resumes

Swimmers

  • Costa Vida results are not available
    •  Congrats to Carter Rich for bringing in the most customers and winning the Amazon Gift Card!
  • Deck Coats
    • Please make sure you have YOUR deck coat each time you leave the pool
    • Jenn will have name tags and key chains for your coat at the meet on Tuesday
    • 5 more coats have been ordered and should be ready soon
    • They are $125 if you do not turn yours in at the end of the season
  • Max will have an All team clinic on Thursday from 4-5
    • ALL swimmers will swim from 3-4
  • Make a commitment to attend practice – check your attendance – does it look good? Attendance
